Lindsay Barrasse came across the property on Adams Avenue and saw an oppertunity. The space was an old dentist office that was vaccant for over a decade. She organized a fundraiser to raise funds for paint and resturantion. The idea was to keep the dentist bays as spacees artists and small business owners could rent to jump start themselves, hold events, or simple just have a space to create.
In October of 2013 Arts and Adams opened its doors to the public. With the help of David Corigliano, Ben Adcroft, Ashley Paschke, Aubrey McClintock, Allison LaRussa, Cory Wolf, and other student artists she lauched the grand opening during a First Fridat Scranton event. It was a small business incubator, indoor craft faire, and art gallery opening event that was a huge success!
